Pari Nov 2014

Pari was born to Patricia and Richard Welch (the Pa & ri of her name, Pari) in Downey, California and moved to Seattle, Washington with her family as a child. She graduated from Cleveland High School, Seattle, in 1963 and attended Central Washington State College (now CWU) in Ellensburg, Washington.

In 1965 she married Carl Johnson and moved to Tacoma. While in Tacoma she graduated from Clover Park Technical School as a Certified Laboratory Assistant. Carl and Pari moved to Centralia in 1969 to help birth an office supply business. After moving to Centralia, they also birthed two daughters, Carla and Julie. Carla and Julie married and have given us 5 grandchildren.

Pari completed her college studies at Centralia Community College, graduating in 1974 with an AA in Applied Science, and upgraded to a Laboratory Technician.

She was raised a Catholic and became a Believer in Yeshua in 1977 through the ministry of the Centralia Bible Chapel.  Pari retired in 2006 along with her husband Carl who owned an office supply business in Centralia for 37 years. They live in Chehalis, Washington.

She became interested in the Jewish roots of the Christian faith after she and daughter, Julie, toured Israel with Bridges for Peace in March of 1995. Upon their return from Israel, she and Carl attended a messianic congregation in Tacoma until the late 1990's.

Aside from her family, Pari's current interests are writing, genealogy, gardening, teaching and computer design. Pari and Carl are volunteers at the local Veterans Memorial Museum in Chehalis. Pari has been a Docent and Carl serves on the Board of Directors. Pari wrote a book about her experiences as a docent called: Diary of a Docent and it is available at Amazon.

Pari has completed a book that combines her 10 'Dinner Table Guides' for celebrating Erev Shabbat and the Biblical festivals and the Jewish holidays. It is a simple guide book to help people to put their faith into practice. The book also features special daily readings for 3 of the festivals. It is entitled "Following Yeshua...Celebrating the Feasts of Adonai", Subtitle: A Dinner Table Guide Book to the Festivals. It is available on-line in both a printed version and a Kindle version at: where you can take a peak inside the book.

Pari suggests that, if possible, each guest around your table should have one of her books to use during your Festival Times in order for them to follow along better.

Read an Approbation Recommendation by Messianic Rabbi Herb Opalek for "Following Yeshua...Celebrating the Feasts of Adonai ".

The purpose of this website is be a companion to Pari's book and to help people become better acquainted with Messianic Judaism and the Jewish roots of the Christian faith through practical applications.
